About us
The Lewisville Community Assistance Program (LCAP) is a joint project of churches in the Lewisville area that helps people of the community who have an emergency situation. Food, shelter, and utilities are needs that can threaten the stability of families. LCAP strives to provide hope and healing by meeting these needs through Christian love and service for the benefit of all.
Gifts from LCAP's pantry are provided free of charge at regular distribution days to all who are in need, and at other times at the discretion of LCAP representatives. You do not have to be a member of a particular church or denomination to receive assistance. Financial assistance may also be available to Lewisville residents who are experiencing an emergency situation.
If you are in need of assistance, please call the church office (336-945-3203) to be connected to an LCAP representative.
The ministry of LCAP is overseen by an LCAP Committee, made up of our Director, Melony Brown, along with a pastor and lay representative from each supporting church. The LCAP Committee meets quarterly to provide financial updates and other opportunities for collaboration between the churches. Monthly duties are divided between LCAP representatives from supporting churches, in consultation with the director. Lewisville area businesses are encouraged to become actively involved in this program. Checks can be made out to Lewisville United Methodist Church with LCAP in the memo and mailed to PO Box 305, Lewisville, NC 27023. All donations are tax deductible.
